The current layout is Version 1, named Pure Wonders. It was made by Alex using Photoshop 8.0, and coded on Notepad. Images are from here. Brushes used can be found here and here. At the end of this tutorial, you will learn to create a simple diagonal pattern.
Step 1: Create a new document. Match your settings to mine.

Step 2: Enlarge the canvas to 1600%, the maximum. (Simply press CTRL and + on your keyboard.)

Step 3: Select your Pencil Tool. Make sure your pencil tool is set at 1px. Then, choose a color you'd like to use.

Step 4: To create your diagonal pattern, click on your canvas like this:

Step 5: When you're done, go to Edit >> Define Pattern.

Step 6: Give your pattern a name (or skip this step) and press OK. And you're ready to use the pattern.
